AC Milan are one of several teams interested in Sampdoria attacker MikkelDamsgaard who has been in sensational form at the Euro 2020 tournament. The 20-year-old has been one of the best young players at the tournament and he has played a key role in propelling his country to the quarterfinals.
The AC Milan officials want to sign him quickly before his price tag rises further with respect to his impressive performances for Denmark at Euro 2020. A fee of €20m to €25m might be enough to secure his transfer at the moment but that could increase to at least €30m because of his form for the Danes at Euro 2020.
Portuguese forward Rafael Leao could be the one to make way for Damsgaard in the AC Milan squad. The Rossoneriare almost certain to expect around €20m from his transfer if they decide to sell him and the money from the potential transfer could be useful in signing Damsgaard.
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero is already rubbing his hands at the prospect of the transfer fee expected from the sale of Damsgaard who was signed by the club for just €6m. The Italian Serie A outfit will definitely make significant profits if they sell the Denmark national team player to AC Milan or any of the German or English teams interested in him.
For Damsgaard, his immediate focus is on the Euro 2020 quarterfinal clash with Czech Republic at the start of next month.
